  • Bula Bhattacharya President West Bengal is very much well known on account of heavy industries and it is the gateway of East and North East India. Many steel plants, engineering and mechanical workshops are established in West Bengal or in its surroundings as well as several major steel plants, engineering and mechanical workshops are also established in Burdwan District. These companies visit our Institute regularly for their requirement of skilled personnel. They also interact with our curriculum and suggest modification in the changed atmosphere of Industrialisation, so that they can get the skilled workforce as per their requirement. In West Bengal also rapid spending on infrastructure, industrialisation has started, particularly in heavy, chemical & process industries. All the works would require trained candidates which are very much short in supply in our country resulting delay in completion of project. Additionally, we have experienced that present trained candidates are not up to the mark with the changed industrial environment. It appears that they do not have basic theoretical knowledge on material of construction, also there is lack of some managerial / co-ordination / planning skill, which would made them more efficient. Hence, we propose that industrial environment is very much beneficial for the trained candidates.
  • Subrata Bhattacharya Secretary Hello all, Ten years back, in the year 2007, when Construction and IT-ITES sectors were experiencing a boom and conducted enormous recruitment launches, only 10 to 12 percent of the candidates were found employable that led to a huge gap in the employment market. In face of this enormous demand for skilled man power, SPB Technical Institute played a key role by bridging the skill gap through Industrial and Skill Development Training programs. After that, we also have started Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Garment Making, Beauty Culture and Hair Dressing and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning etc sectors. Today, we are one of India?s biggest vocational training organisations with the sole aim to help our trainees become employable. The training extended by us enhance employ-ability and entrepreneurial aspiration through seamless integration of academic input with industry experience. This helps our trainees gain greater confidence regarding their own career, is valuable to the organisations that employ them, and in an overall sense helpful to the economy?s development.
