PBSSD

The Government of West Bengal has an integrated approach to Skill Development in the State. In the context of the same and with a view to provide for coordinated interventions in the domain of Vocational Education and Skill Development leading to sustainable gainful employment, the Government of West Bengal has set up the "PASCHIM BANGA SOCIETY FOR SKILL DEVELOPMENT (PBSSD)?, an autonomous society under the Technical Education & Training Department. Among other objectives, the PBSSD intends to develop and strengthen Skill Development at all levels through institutional and/ or non-institutional interventions. In this connection the PBSSD coordinates, guide, supervise and monitor the Skill Development Programms implemented in the state of West Bengal through various Government Departments ensuring standardization of process in skilling as well as assessment and certification of the trainees in West Bengal.
